Scores of students and people from different walks of life participated in a walkathon organised to make World Blood Donors Day, in Hubballi on June 15.

The event was organised by Sha Damji Jadavji Chheda Memorial Rashtrotthana Blood Centre. Students and other participants began the march from the centre. They went to Neeligin Road, Court Circle, Brindavan Circle, Dajibanpet and Moorusavir Mutt  Road before returning to the originating point.

As part of World Blood Donors Day, Dattamurty Kulkarni donated blood for the 95th time, Sridhar Kulkarni for the 60th time, and Vinodkumar Patva for the 71st time. People who donated blood at regular intervals were honoured.
