Former Minister and Cheepurupalli MLA Kala Venkata Rao on Sunday (June 14, 2026) alleged that the YSR Congress Party was misleading the public and unemployed youth over the DSC recruitment process, although it had been conducted in a transparent manner.
Speaking to the media here, he said the Opposition party was unable to digest the image of the NDA government, which had fulfilled its poll promises on the recruitment of police personnel and teachers in the State.
Andhra Pradesh had got a 23% share in the country’s total investments in 2025-26, he said, indicating the State’s rapid growth. Mr. Venkata Rao said over 50 lakh jobs would be created in the State soon through the steps being taken for rapid industrialisation in all areas, including Vizianagaram district.
Welfare schemes such as free bus travel for women, subsidised food at Anna Canteens and enhanced pension amounts had caught the attention of the people, he said.
