The NTR district administration is focussing on providing high-quality education in government schools, Collector G. Lakshmisha has said, urging the public to send their wards to government schools.
Inaugurating the Government Schools’ Education expo organised by the District Education Department at the Collectorate on Thursday, Mr. Lakshmisha pointed out that government schools were now performing on par with the private ones, and that plans had been formulated to secure even better outcomes.
Addressing the media, the Collector said through modern teaching methods, improved infrastructure, and skill-development programmes, government schools are being strengthened to compete effectively with private schools.
The Collector said that teachers and education department officials are working in coordination to ensure the overall development of students, improve educational standards, and achieve better academic results. He said the expo is being organised to showcase the educational opportunities, facilities, and student achievements available in government schools.
Referring to the previous year’s Class X examination results, the Collector noted that 31 students from government high schools in the district scored more than 580 marks.
District Education Officer L. Chandrakala, Additional Project Coordinator R. Ramesh Babu, Mandal Education Officers and students took part in the expo.
