One dead, three injured in BEST’s bus accident on Monday (June 8, 2026), after the bus driver lost control of the vehicle near Kotwal Garden in Mumbai.
The accident occurred around 10:45 a.m. near Veer Kotwal Garden, Near Plaza Cinema, Dadar West.
According to police officials, the BEST electric bus driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed into five vehicles ahead of him.
“Bus driver has been taken into custody. The accident-damaged vehicles have been moved to the side of the road, and traffic movement is clear. Further investigation is in progress,” said DCP Mahendra Pandit.
The injured persons were immediately shifted to Sion Hospital for medical treatment.
According to the details of Dr Randhir, AMO, Sion Hospital, one man was brought dead to the hospital, and the other injured are identified as Satish Waghambare (48), Mahesh Doiphode (50), and Rishabh Gupta (23), whose condition is critical.
Bus rammed into one two-wheeler, one electric bike, one Taxi, and two cars.
