DSP, a UK-based enterprise database management company, has marked its entry into India with the launch of its first overseas Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru. The DSP India Centre will be hosted at GoodWorks GCC Nexus in Prestige Tech Park, Bengaluru.

Speaking at the inauguration of the facility, Paul Cocks, Group Chief Operating Officer, DSP, said Bengaluru is a major milestone in the company’s global growth journey.

The city’s world-class talent ecosystem made it the perfect location to scale innovation, deepen expertise, and deliver even greater value to DSP’s clients globally, the company official said.

K.T. Rajan, cluster director, Technology, Innovation, Education and Skills at the British Deputy High Commission, said, “By harnessing collaboration and strategic initiatives, the UK-India corridor creates sustainable opportunities that strengthen global leadership and deliver lasting impact for citizens, businesses, and future generations.’’

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), said, “We are home to 1,000-plus GCCs employing over 660,000 professionals — 40% of India’s GCC workforce — backed by 110 million sq. ft. of Grade-A infrastructure and nearly 600,000 AI and ML professionals, representing 50% of the country’s AI talent. But beyond these numbers, Karnataka today is no longer a destination for cost arbitrage; it is a global innovation hub.”
