A 45-year-old man was stabbed to death following a dispute over an alleged illicit relationship in Jagjeevanram Nagar on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Akram Pasha, 45, a resident of Jagjeevanram Nagar. He was reportedly attacked with a knife and killed in Devaraj Urs Colony in the limits of the Jagjeevanram Nagar Police Station.

Akram was working in a car decor shop and returning home from work late at night when the accused Khalid, 38, a mechanic, confronted him and stabbed him multiple times and sped away.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the crime was triggered by tensions arising out of an alleged extramarital relationship of the deceased with the accused wife. Following a heated confrontation, the accused stabbed Pasha multiple times, causing fatal injuries. Passers-by rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, where the doctor declared him dead on arrival.

A case has been registered, and efforts are on to track down the accused.
