A 36-year old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband at their rented house near Nalanchira in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, in the early hours of Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Haseena Beevi.
According to the Nalanchira police, the murder was reported by the eldest of her four children, who were all present in the house at the time of the incident.
Suresh, her husband, who is believed to have committed the murder, is currently absconding.
According to the police, the woman was found with her throat slit inside a room on the upper floor of the house. Marital issues between the couple appear to have led to the crime. In recent days, there have been serious conflicts between them.
The body has been shifted to the Government Medical College in Thiruvananthapuram for post-mortem examination.
The police have launched a hunt to nab the accused.
