Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s wife Durga Stalin offered prayers at Sri Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills in Mysuru on Monday.
Accompanied by her sister Jayanti and Indira Rajendran, wife of Rajendran, former MLA, Ms. Stalin was in Mysuru en route to Chennai from Madikeri.
The Executive Officer of Sri Chamundeshwari Temple, M.J. Roopa, confirmed Ms. Stalin’s visit to Chamundeshwari temple. Former Minister and veteran JD (S) leader G.T. Deve Gowda’s wife Lalitha, said the DMK chief’s wife visited their house on Monday after offering prayers at Nimishamba Temple in Srirangapatna and Sri Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru.
Ms. Lalitha said Ms. Stalin paid a courtesy visit to their house on the invitation of their daughter Annapurna, who is close to Mr. Stalin’s family through her husband. “She (Durga Stalin) visits Chamundeshwari temple once or twice a year. This time, we invited them to visit our house for coffee,” she said.
Mr. Deve Gowda, too, was present when their household hosted Ms. Stalin and the others accompanying her at their house in V.V. Mohalla in Mysuru.
Meanwhile, Mr. Stalin and the other members of his family, who were staying in a resort in Kodagu for the last few days, left Madikeri for Mysuru on Monday en route to Chennai, according to police sources in Madikeri.
