The Cyberabad Police have denied permission for a Jana Sena Party meeting proposed to be held at Sandhya Convention, Gachibowli, on June 2, citing concerns over law and order and traffic management.
The application was submitted by Talluri Ram, General Secretary of the Jana Sena Party, seeking approval to conduct the “Janasena Sadhaks (Active Members) Meeting” from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with around 2,000 participants.
According to an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Serilingampally Zone, recent tensions arising from remarks attributed to Prof. K. Nageshwar and subsequent developments in Andhra Pradesh had triggered protests and opposition from various groups in Telangana. Police said the meeting coincides with Telangana Formation Day celebrations, increasing the possibility of demonstrations and traffic disruptions.
The order also noted that the venue lacked designated parking facilities, while the alternative land proposed for parking is under litigation and linked to pending criminal cases. Permission was therefore rejected to maintain public peace and order.
