
M.K. Raghavan, Kozhikode MP, has said that special training needs to be provided in schools for enhancing the communication skills of students.
He was delivering a speech after opening the Kozhikode district-level ‘Pravesanotsavam’ at the Government Higher Secondary School on Monday (June 1). Mr. Raghavan also said that focus should be given to language studies.
The event was organised by the Kozhikode district panchayat, Education department, and the District Institute of Education and Training. The school premises were decorated with festoons and the new students were received with ‘chenda melam’ and ‘panchavadyam’. V.U. Sreejith presented a magic show to entertain the students. V.T. Sooraj, Balussery MLA, presided over the event. Milli Mohan Kottarathil, Kozhikode district panchayat president, inaugurated the distribution of study kits.
