DIMS Computers Director K.S.B.K. Raju on Sunday (May 24, 2026) asked students to focus on skill-oriented courses from the intermediate level, while doing their academic courses, to understand the latest changes in technology and the requirements of software and other companies.

As many as 20 students completed short-term computer courses at the institution under the Skill India Development programme of the government. He gave away certificates to those who completed the courses.

He said the institution would soon launch internship programmes for polytechnic and engineering students in association with the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Raju hoped the students would get placements quickly once the Bhogapuram international airport, a Google data centre and other software companies came up in Visakhapatnam. Another director of the institution, K. Bhagya Lakshmi, was also present.
