Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Yadagirigutta witnessed a major boost in infrastructure and spiritual development on Friday (May 22, 2026) as Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy participated in the bhoomi puja ceremony for a Veda Pathashala and inaugurated several temple-linked development projects worth ₹99.55 crore.

The Chief Minister took part in the ceremony along with Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati, pontiff of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. The ceremony was held in the temple premises amid the presence of public representatives, spiritual leaders and senior officials.

As part of the temple development initiatives, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a Veda Pathashala to be constructed at a cost of ₹43.80 crore. He also launched works for the construction of a Nitya Kalyana Mandapam on the hilltop at an estimated cost of ₹9.87 crore.

Other projects include construction of a roofed pathway for steps leading from Vaikuntha Dwaram to the hilltop at a cost of ₹1.41 crore and construction of steps towards Mada Veedhi near the Rathashala for ₹1.35 crore.

In addition, foundation stones were laid for dormitory halls and a Deeksha Parula Sadanam to be built at a cost of ₹43.12 crore, aimed at improving facilities for devotees visiting the temple town

Among those who attended the programme were Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy; Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Konda Surekha, and Adluri Laxman Kumar; MPs Vem Narender Reddy and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, besides MLAs, MLCs and senior officials.
