Singapore-based low-cost carrier Scoot has announced that its flights to Visakhapatnam will operate from the upcoming Alluri Sitharama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram from July 8, 2026.
In a communication issued to trade partners, the airline said operations would be shifted to Terminal 1 of the new airport, while retaining the existing airport code “VTZ”.
The airline said that the new airport is located around 50 km from Visakhapatnam city and advised passengers to arrive at the airport at least 120 minutes before departure to complete check-in procedures.
According to the communication, check-in counters would open two-and-a-half hours before the scheduled departure time. Scoot has also asked trade partners to inform passengers holding existing bookings about the airport change before June 10.
The development comes ahead of the expected commencement of commercial operations at the Bhogapuram International Airport.
