Jana Sena Party (JSP) district president and Anantapur Hindupur Urban Development Authority (HUDA) Chairman T.C. Varun has condemned remarks made by former MLC and political analyst Nageswar against the alliance parties in the State.

Mr. Varun said it was shameful that Mr. Nageswar had degraded himself and become a mouthpiece for the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and its chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Addressing the media in Anantapur on Thursday (May 21, 2026), Mr. Varun alleged that Mr. Nageswar was unable to digest the public admiration that Mr. Pawan Kalyan was getting. He alleged that Mr. Nageswar had joined hands with the YSRCP to make malicious statements, and demanded that the remarks be withdrawn immediately.

“It is shameful that Mr. Nageswar claiming that Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who has mastered national politics, regards Mr. Jagan as a trustworthy ally,” he said.

Mr. Varun dismissed Mr. Nageswar’s claim that Mr. Shah had dictated to Mr. Pawan Kalyan how the JSP should behave with coalition partner Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. “It exposes Nageswar’s sheer ignorance and desperation,” he said.

Mr. Varun said the YSRCP could not dent the unity of the alliance parties. He warned that if Mr. Nageswar did not retract his comments, he would face the anger of the alliance’s cadres.
