Dr. Arunraj’s comments came against the backdrop of a woman claiming to be part of the party’s medical wing “inspecting” the Government Hospital in Sankarankovil which evoked strong criticism. The Minister said instructions have been given to the party workers from party president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, and general secretary and Minister for Rural Development and Water Resources N. Anand in this regard.
