Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy claimed Monday that the upcoming “No Kings Day” protests are “part of” the antifascist movement known as antifa.

“The ‘No Kings’ protest, Maria, really frustrating. I mean, this is part of antifa, paid protesters. It begs the question, who's funding it? But, yeah, Democrats want to wait for a big rally of a ‘No Kings’ protest when the bottom line is, who's running the show in the Senate?” Duffy told Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo on “Mornings with Maria.”

“Chuck Schumer is not running the show, the No Kings protesters or organizers are running the show. Is AOC threatening a primary against Chuck Schumer? Is she running the show?” he added.

Under a list of partners for No Kings on its website, there appears to be no group listed specifically as “antifa.”

Demonstrators will take to the streets Saturday for a series of protests all across the country against the Trump administration titled No Kings Day. The protests launched in mid-June, in response to the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary military parade in Washington, D.C., which occurred on President Trump’s 79th birthday.

Thousands of No Kings protests are set for next weekend around the U.S., according to the Indivisible project.

“On October 18, millions of us are rising again to show the world: America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people,” the main page for the No Kings website states.

Schumer appears to have taken part in the first No Kings protests back in June, according to a June 15 post on the social platform X.

“Over 5 million Americans marched on No Kings Day. And I was so proud to be one of the them,” he said in the X post.

The Hill has reached out to Schumer’s office, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-N.Y.) office and an email listed on the No Kings site for comment.
