New York City Mayor Eric Adams is set to make an "important announcement regarding the future of his campaign," amid reports that allies of President Trump have floated the possibility of him joining the administration.
Adams earlier on Friday released a statement saying he was still running for reelection, though he opened the door to weighing other possible job opportunities.
The statement came after The New York Times reported that Adams met with Trump adviser Steve Witkoff amid speculation he could be offered an ambassadorship to Saudi Arabia.
