Emma Raducanu has revealed that she keeps being banned from the Italian Open grounds because she has repeatedly lost her accreditation.

The former US Open winner admitted to misplacing her ground passes in a cheery interview after her second round win against Jil Teichmann in Rome.

The 22-year-old produced an impressive 6-2 6-2 win over her Swiss opponent, hitting six aces and facing only one break point.

Following her win, Raducanu was asked about her missing accreditation.

\'It\'s going pretty well in Rome except for the fact that I think you keep losing your accreditation,\' Sky Sports presenter Karthi Gnanasegaram said.

A giggling Raducanu responded:  \'Yeah, well, I\'ve won something this week already.

\'It\'s not ideal but to be honest it pretty much sums me up.\'

Raducanu\'s encounter was just her third match on clay this season, and only the 20th of her whole career.

She was originally scheduled to play Ekaterina Alexandrova but she was forced to pull out pre-match with a right shoulder injury.

To be honest it was pretty mental, as I was warming up for my match against Alexandrova and, all of a sudden, I get told I\'m playing Jil,\' Raducanu told Sky Sports.

\'On top of that she\'s a left, so a completely different challenge. Honestly, I haven\'t practised with a lefty and haven\'t played one since February.

\'I\'m really proud of myself for how I fought through. This is her favourite surface.\'

\'The first few games I was adjusting to the way the ball curls, but I\'m really proud of myself. I fought through and I\'m really proud of how I came through that.\'

She will face Veronika Kudermetova in the third round after the Russian beat Amanda Anisimova 7-6 7-5.
