Fans blown away by \'best National Anthem ever\' before March Madness final in Texas

College basketball fans were blown away by the \'best National Anthem ever\' moments before the national championship game began by retire Air Force master sergeant Robert Carter. 

Carter took to center court at the Alamodome in San Antonio and delivered the \'Star-Spangled Banner\' without hiccup, in what has become a rarer feat these days. 

With the players and coaching staffs from Florida and Houston just feet away, Carter sung the anthem in military uniform in front of a massive national audience. 

Carter has sang the National Anthem before several NFL and college football games in the past, including the 2022 Salute to Service game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Chargers. 

There have been a few flubbed anthems before big sporting events over the last year, with country singer Ingrid Andress\' version before the Home Run Derby last July sticking out among the butchered anthems. 

Many college basketball fans took to social media to sing the praises of Carters\' singing ability.

Carter sung the anthem without hiccup moments before the national title game began

\'That was the best national anthem I’ve heard sung in a while. #NCAAChampionship,\' one college basketball fan said. 

\'One of the best National Anthem performances I\'ve heard in a long time at the Championship Game [right now],\' another March Madness viewer stated. 

\'That had to be the best national anthem performance I’ve seen. That guy meant that,\' a third continued. 

\'Best sung national anthem i think I’ve EVER heard,\' a fourth concluded.
