Srikakulam police arrested two thieves and recovered gold ornaments worth ₹40.02 lakh from them on Thursday. Additionally, diamond and silver ornaments worth ₹5.51 lakh, and a four-wheeler were also seized.

Srikakulam Superintendent of Police K. Maheswar Reddy said: “Based on reliable information, the accused Pola Bhaskara Rao of Jogampeta in Parvatipuram-Manyam district and Muddada Narasinga Rao of Etcherla mandal in Srikakulam district, were nabbed while crossing the Kasibugga railway gate.”

The SP added that both the accused had separate criminal histories and were involved in multiple thefts across North Andhra. Despite serving jail time, they continued their unlawful activities after being released.
