Writer K.P. Sudheera has been selected for this year’s Thakazhi Literary Award instituted by the Thakazhi Smaraka Samithi under the Culture department. The award has been decided by the samithi led by its chairperson and former Minister G. Sudhakaran. The award consists of ₹50,000 cash prize, a memento, and citation. The Thakazhi Literary Award is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to Malayalam language and literature. It will be presented to Ms. Sudheera at a function to be held at Sankaramangalam on April 17, said samithi secretary K.B. Ajayakumar on Friday.
