The Kochi City police arrested four persons, including a woman, in two separate raids and seized nearly 330 grams of suspected MDMA worth over ₹15 lakh and ₹3 lakh, Oman currency, 6.80 grams of ganja, 4.64 grams of hybrid ganja, and 9.41 grams of hashish oil from a hotel and a house in Mattancherry.
The raids were conducted by the Mattancherry police and the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force. Ayesha Gafar, 39, of Pune and Rifas Rafeek, 27, of Mattancherry were detained during the raid at the hotel following a tip-off. They were allegedly engaged in selling drugs by staying at various hotels in Kochi.
Sajeer, 28, and Adnan Sawad, 22, of Mattancherry were detained from the house. They claimed to have received the drugs from Rifas.
