A 71-year-old woman was killed in a road accident on the Edavanna-Koyilandy State highway at Mukkom in Kozhikode on Friday. The victim was identified as Parammal Nafeesa.
She was reportedly knocked down by a car while she was crossing the road to reach a nearby mosque around 1 p.m. Though she was rushed to a nearby hospital by the same car, she succumbed to grievous head injuries.
