Jack Grealish has revealed that music icon Elton John \'rings him to catch up\'.

The Manchester City star opened up on his unlikely friendship with the singer, who is an honorary life-president of Watford. 

Asked by TNT Sports who his most famous phone contact is, Grealish said: \'Probably Elton John. He rings me sometimes to catch up and see how I am.\'

Grealish also admitted that he was starstruck when he met Rihanna during City\'s pre-season tour of the USA in the summer.

Asked if he has ever been starstruck, Grealish replied: \'Yeah in the summer actually, when I met Rihanna on the pre-season tour after we played against AC Milan.

\'I got quite nervous, I didn\'t really know what to say or how to approach her.\'

In an interview four years ago Grealish had admitted that he wanted to meet Rihanna \'Because she\'s pretty and I like her music\'. 

Grealish added that team-mate Erling Haaland is a \'bit of a wind-up\' in the dressing room, with the pair of them playing jokes on team-mates.

When asked what Haaland is like, Grealish said: \'A bit of a wind-up. I think I might have helped him with that. We both have the same type of banter and we both just like to wind people up.\' 

Grealish also disclosed that his former Aston Villa team-mate John McGinn is one footballer who would always answer the phone to him.

Grealish said: \'John McGinn, definitely. He always answers the phone to me or always rings me.\'

Grealish went on to state that he hasn\'t had a haircut for four months.

He said: \'To be fair I\'ve actually not had one done for four months, I\'ve just had the bottoms done but I\'m not actually growing it. I\'ve not had one for four months at the moment but usually when I\'m getting a haircut I have one once every week or two weeks.\'

Furthermore, Grealish stated that the DJ he would most like to work with is Porter. Grealish added that he is in charge of the dressing room music and that he often plays house music and Afrobeats.

Grealish, who started for City against his former club Villa on Saturday, is still awaiting his first Premier League goal of the season.
