As many as 40 students were injured when a school bus skid off the road and turned on its side near Ganesh Gudi Forest in Joida taluk of Uttara Kannada on Monday.
All injured students have been admitted to Government Hospital in Dandeli and they are all out of danger, the police said.
Students from St. Anthony High School in Hosadurga of Chitradurga district were on a school excursion. They were travelling in three buses of which one turned on its side as the driver lost control of the bus, the police said.
Police and village residents rescued the students and took them to the hospital.
