    Motorola Edge 50 India launch imminent as phone surfaces on BIS


    Several Motorola Edge 50 series phones, including the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Ultra, are official in different markets. Now, there is speculation that the company will bring the vanilla Motorola Edge 50 5G to its users. A recent exclusive report by 91mobiles also hints at the phone’s global price.

    While there is no official confirmation, the smartphone has now appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site, which suggests an India launch. Here are the expected details of the upcoming Motorola Edge 50.

    Motorola Edge 50 BIS details

    • The upcoming Motorola Edge 50 has been spotted (via) on the BIS certification site with the model number XT2407-3.
    • The certification site doesn’t reveal any specifications, but its listing on BIS suggests it could also launch soon in India.
    • Notably, the Motorola Edge 50 recently popped up on UAE’s TDRA and FCC certification websites with a similar model number.

    Motorola Edge 50 price, specifications (expected)

    A recent report indicates the Motorola Edge 50 will be priced at EUR 599, around Rs 54,162, for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage in Europe. This is similar to the launch price of the Motorola Edge 40. However, the phone was announced in India for Rs 29,999 for a single 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There is no information about the Indian variant’s price, but there is a chance it might come with a price tag similar to its predecessor if it launches in India.

    Here are the expected specifications of the Motorola Edge 50, which recently surfaced online:

    • Though not confirmed, the Motorola Edge 50 is anticipated to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging. In comparison, the Edge 40 was launched with a smaller 4,400mAh battery with the same charging support and 15W wireless charging.
    • The yet-to-be-announced Motorola Edge 50 will likely operate on Android 14 and Hello UI skin and will also include connectivity options like 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth, and GPS, among other features.

    No other specifications or features are known about the Motorola Edge 50. However, its predecessor flaunts a 6.55-inch FHD+ 144Hz pOLED display with 1200nits peak brightness, the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC.
