Srinagar, July 06: Four unidentified militants have been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Chinigam area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.
A top police officer told GNS that in the ongoing gunfight four militants have been killed while as intense firing is still going on. He said identification of slain militants can only be ascertained once operation is over.
Reports also said that one Army jawan has also been injured in the ongoing gunfight who has been evacuated to hospital.
Earlier, gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Chinigam area after a specific input was received by the security forces.
In another gunfight which took place in Mudergham area of Kulgam, one army soldier was killed in initial exchange of fire. So far no information has been received about any militant death in the gunfight here.
