Mahindra XUV7OO has been one of the most popular SUVs in the Indian market. In less than three years since its launch, the SUV has managed to find a home with 2 lakh families in the country. To celebrate this milestone, Mahindra has introduced minor updates on the SUV. The new Mahindra XUV700 completed the first 1 lakh sales milestone in 21 months while the next 1 lakh took just 12 months.

Mahindra XUV700: Changes
To celebrate the 2 lakh sales milestone, Mahindra has introduced 2 new color schemes on the SUV – Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna. The new color scheme joins the existing range of Electric Blue, Dazzling Silver, Midnight Black, Everest White, Red Rage and Napoli Black. In January 2024, Mahindra updated the XUV700 with new features like captain seats in the second row, ventilated front seats and a memory function for the ORVM. All these features will carry forward on this new model.

Powertrain and Features
Currently, the XUV7OO is powered by a 2.0L turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2L turbo-diesel engine which produces 200bhp and 185 bhp respectively. The engines come mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic option. Additionally, the diesel engine also gets an AWD(All-Wheel-Drive) option.
In terms of features, it gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, AdrenoX-connected car tech and LED headlamp. Safety equipment on offer includes 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, all-4 disk brakes and ADAS with adaptive cruise control, front collision warning, high beam assist and traffic sign recognition.

Mahindra’s Future Plans
Currently, Mahindra is gearing up to launch the Thar 5-door in August 2024. Other developments include an electric version of the XUV7OO called the XUV.e8. Moreover, there are also plans to bring various electric cars with different styling options. Overall, it is going to be a great time with exciting launches.
