Gautam Adani raises stake in Adani Enterprises, buys more from open market

Gautam Adani, the promoters of Adani Enterprises and companies belonging to the promoter group have purchased over two percent stake in the company from open market between September 2023 and June this year, a statement to stock exchanges stated on June 14.

The exchange filing said open market purchases in shares of Adani Enterprises were made on the following dates by entities belonging to the promoter or the promoter group: \n

Before these acquisitions, the total voting capital or shares carrying voting rights that were with the acquirers and the promoter group or persons acting in concert stood at 71.95 percent, which increased by 2.02 percent after the open market purchases to 73.95 percent.\n

Shares of Adani Group had fallen up to 25 percent on June 4 after clocking substantial gains in the previous few trading sessions. So far this year, shares of Adani Enterprises are higher by 12 percent.

By May 2024, the company had erased all the losses inflicted by short-seller report by Hindenburg Research that came out in January 2023.
