‘After June 4, INDIA Bloc Will Implode Khatakhat Khatakhat’: PM Modi Mocks Rahul Gandhi’s Viral Speech

In an apparent mockery of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s words, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday attacked the INDIA bloc saying the opposition front will disintegrate “khatakhat khatakhat” after June 4, the day on which the results for the Lok Sabha elections will be announced.

Addressing a rally at Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh, he borrowed words from a speech that Rahul Gandhi gave in Rajasthan, where the MP had said: “The Congress Government will transfer Rs 1 lakh (in a year) to the bank account of one woman of every poor household in the country… If you are below the poverty line, then every year, Rs 1 lakh (Rs 8,500 per month) khatakhat khatakhat aata rahega aur ek jhatke se hum Hindustan se gareebi ko mita denge. (The money will keep coming to your accounts and poverty will be erased in one fell swoop).”

Without taking names, the prime minister said Rahul and the Congress will lose from Raebareli, one of the last few party bastions in majorly saffronised UP. The Gandhi scion has been chosen to succeed his mother and contest the elections from her constituency.

“Amethi se gaye hain, Raebareli se bhi jayenge. June 4 ke baad INDI alliance bikhar jaega khatakhat khatakhat; yeh shehzade garmi ki chuttiyon may videsh ki yatra par nikal jayengi. Mujhe soochna mili hai ki ticket bhi book kar liya gaya hai (They have lost Amethi, they will lose Raebareli too. The INDI alliance will disintegrate after June 4, and these princes will go abroad for a summer vacation. I have found out that they have booked tickets as well),” he said, addressing a rally in Pratapgarh.

Amping up the attack, he further said the INDIA bloc will look for a fall guy when they lose, as the poll results are declared on June 4. “June 4 ke baad INDI allaince bali ka bakra dhoondega haar ke liye,” he added.

Referring to INDIA bloc allies Congress and Samajwadi Party, which are “dynastic” parties, Prime Minister Modi said for the “princes of SP-Congress”, the country;s development is like a game of gilli-danda. “These princes born in palaces are neither used to hard work nor to getting results. Running the country is not possible for the children born with a silver spoon. They can’t do this; after June 4, Modi government will definitely form, but despite this several other things will also take place…” he said.

The PM further said the state of the country was poor before 2014. “Today, India organises big events like G20 with great success and pride. India leaves its Tricolour imprint on the moon. Could you have imagined such success 10 years ago? Was there any news other than the scams?” he asked.

He added: “What was impossible earlier has become possible today. This change, this success has not happened because of Modi… but because of your one vote, this is the power of your vote. That is why today the entire country is saying – the third term of this government… will be more powerful.”

He said the INDIA bloc raises questions on the valour of Indian soldiers while their agenda is to impose Article 370 again in Jammu and Kashmir, if they come to power at the Centre.

“INDI alliance has people who raise questions on the valour of the soldiers of the country. Their agenda is to again impose Article 370 in J&K…” he added.

Modi accused the Congress of snatching away OBC reservation in Karnataka and giving it to Muslims. He said the party wants to change the Constitution and implement this rule across India. Despite that, the SP – an INDIA bloc ally and the opposition in UP – is silent on the matter, he said.

“The Congress has snatched OBC reservation in Karnataka and given it to Muslims. It wants to change the Constitution and implement this rule across the country, but the SP, which has betrayed the backward classes, is silent on this… These people are appealing for ‘vote jihad’ against Modi…” he added.
