Gayatri Joshi who was seen in ‘Swades’ has reportedly got involved in a car accident along with her husband Vikas Oberoi in Italy. It is being reported that it was a multiple-car collision in Sardinia and a Swiss couple travelling in a Ferrari died when the high-end vehicle caught fire. Gayatri reportedly told a news portal, ‘Vikas and I are in Italy. We met with an accident here.. With god’s grace, we both are absolutely fine.’ The accident is believed to have been recorded in a video that surfaced on the internet soon after. The video allegedly shows that the collision took place when a Lamborghini and Gayatri and Vikas’s Ferrari tried to overtake a camper van at the same time, resulting in the overturning of the van. According to reports, the incident took place during the Sardinia Supercar Tour as part of which luxury cars parade from Teulada to Olbia. Meanwhile, Gayatri Joshi is known to have won Femina Miss India International in 2000. Her role as Geeta in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Swades’ earned her a lot of praises but she bid adieu to her acting career after the film’s release when she got married Vikas Oberoi in 2005.For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
