Skanda registers highest ever openings in Ram’s career

Young stars Ram and Sreeleela’s high-voltage action entertainer, Skanda, released yesterday amid high expectations. The Boyapati Sreenu directorial received a positive response from fans and audiences who love mass action entertainers. Thanks to the largely positive word of mouth, Skanda registered sensational collections at the box office on its opening day.

On its opening day, Skanda collected a whopping Rs 8.62 crore share at the box offices across the Andhra, Nizam and Ceded regions. This is an all-time highest opening day share in Ram’s career. With no big movies around in competition, Skanda will be ruling the roost, especially in the mass centres, till this weekend.

On the other hand, the film has had a decent start in the USA, where is collected a gross of $182K so far. Skanda also features Saiee Manjrekar and Prince Cecil in key roles. Produced by Srinivasa Chitturi, the film has its soundtrack composed by Thaman.
