The Chandrayaan-3 lander Vikram has achieved another significant milestone. The lander has successfully performed a hop experiment, whereby on ISRO’s command, it jumped to a height of 40 cm and landed safely 30-40 centimetres away. This is something that has happened much beyond the mission’s objectives. The experiment shows that ISRO has the technology that can help future missions collect sample from the moon and return to earth.
