The National Film Awards 2023 have been announced today in Delhi and fans of Indian cinema have been waiting with bated breaths to hear the winners’ names. So here goes! ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Sardar Udham’ have won big this time around. Alia Bhatt has won the National Award for Best Actress in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and she has shared it with Kriti Sanon who won it for ‘Mimi’. Allu Arjun has won the National Award for the Best Actor for his performance in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, thus becoming the first ever Telugu actor to do so. The Best Film National Award went to ‘RRR’ for its wholesome entertainment. Meanwhile, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has won the award for the Best Film on National Integration and ‘Sardar Udham’ won the award for the Best Hindi Film. Notably, SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ also bagged awards for Action Direction, Choreography, Special Effects. Neerja Sekhar, Additional Secretary, I&B told the media that a total of 280 feature films in 28 languages and 158 non-feature films in 23 languages were received for consideration. Filmmaker Ketan Mehta announced the awards of the 69th National Film Awards.
