In recent years, Real Madrid have shifted away from their Galactico signing policy and have been investing more and more in up-and-coming young talents with potential to grow into superstars.
The strategy has paid great dividends for the club as the likes of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo Goes, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and more recently Jude Bellingham, are all making a great impact at the club.
And the Merengues do not plan on deviating from that strategy any time soon. Having already secured Endrick’s services for next year, they continue to monitor the market for young prospects with a lot of promise.
Santi Garcia on Real Madrid’s radar
As such, MARCA is now reporting that Getafe’s attacking midfield prospect, Santi Garcia, has popped up on the radars of Real Madrid.
The 21-year-old starlet has been with the Azulones since 2020 and has been training with the first-team setup ever since Jose Bordalas became the manager earlier this year.
Garcia went on to make his La Liga debut for Getafe this past weekend, coming on as a substitute in the 3-0 defeat to Girona.
While he might not have had the most memorable of debuts, the 21-year-old Spanish ace enjoyed a solid pre-season which put him on the map as clubs like Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid took note.
Indeed, both the Spanish capital giants are said to have contacted the youngster’s agent, Jorge Mendes, to stay informed about his situation and any developments regarding his future as they wish to follow his progression.
Santi Garcia is also attracting interest from clubs in Portugal, with teams such as Famalicao and Vitoria de Guimaraes eyeing loan moves.
As far as Real Madrid are concerned, there is no immediate move in the works, and as iterated earlier, the Merengues wish to track the 21-year-old starlet who has shown a lot of potential.
