Maverick director Shankar celebrates his 60th birthday today. Millions of fans and well-wishers from the film industry extended their wholehearted wishes to the star director on this special occasion. Today evening, Shankar hosted a lavish birthday party which was graced by several popular South Indian celebrities.

Star heroes Chiyaan Vikram and Ram Charan, acclaimed Tamil directors Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vetrimaaran, Karthik Subbaraj, Gautham Menon, Lingusamy, Vignesh Shivan and Sasi, Telugu director Gopichand Malineni, actor-filmmaker SJ Suriyah and others graced the party and joined Shankar as he celebrated his birthday.

On the work front, Shankar is currently busy helming the two prestigious pan-India projects, Indian 2 and Game Changer. While the former features Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet and Siddharth in lead roles, the latter has Ram Charan and Kiara Advani playing the main leads. Both the movies will be hitting theaters in early 2024.
