A Supreme Court lawyer, Dasari Govind, was assaulted and robbed in Bengaluru on June 27 reported The New Indian Express.
The 52-year-old advocate was said to be returning from the Jalahalli Metro Station to his apartment when the incident occurred between 9.15 PM and 9.45 PM, earlier this week.
While the lawyer caught one of the accused, the other escaped with his mobile phone and ₹3,000 in cash.
As per the report, one of the accused persons snatched Govind\'s phone. While the lawyer was initially able to hold him off, a second person came to help the first assailant and both the assailants proceeded to assault him.
Govind also reportedly said that a few passers-by helped him and that a Hoysala vehicle, patrolling close to the spot, took away the accused.
The investigating team suspects that the accused men were habitual offenders.
Following the incident, a case has been registered against the two accused for the offences of robbery and attempt to cause death or grievous hurt.
