Mitchell Starc gave them the perfect start on Day 3 and Pat Cummins built on that really well with his bowling and captaincy. However, they were also helped by some really poor shot selection from the English batters. Starc was the pick of the bowlers with his three wickets while Josh Hazlewood and Travis Head got a couple each and Cummins, Nathan Lyon, and Cameron Green chipped in with one each. The only negative is that Lyon will play no further part due to injury and their batters will now look to set a huge target for England so that it does not affect them that much.
