The delivery man called to apologise and even offered to pay for it; however, his husband refused. “Husband ordered food delivery tonight and the dude who brought it accidentally knocked over a pot on our porch and he called to apologize and offered to pay for it and I heard husband say “that could happen to anyone and you are a sweetheart who doesn’t need to worry about this,” McCann tweeted.
After a couple of days, McCann caught the delivery man as he was pulling up near the house. He had come to drop off a new flower pot and also left a note.
The food delivery man named Jordan wrote in the note, “Hello its Jordan. I wanted to give you this pot as a replacement for the one I knocked over on Sunday evening. I hope it was not a gift or had sentimental value to you. Also thank you for being so kind about it. I know this one is probably not as nice but I hope you can find use for it,” he wrote.
“The food delivery guy just dropped this off. I caught him as I was pulling up to the house and he was so sweet. I told him I tweeted about the interaction and that it went viral and he got a kick out of that,” McCann tweeted.
“I think he just created sentimental value for this one; so it might not be “as nice” but I’ll wager it’s also better,” commented a Twitter user. “Sometimes ppl surprise me in the best way!” another posted. “Everyone concerned is amazing and lovely and you all deserve nothing but the best,” wrote a third.
