After delivering a scintillating performance in dance number ‘Oo Antava’ in ‘Pushpa’, fans were hoping that the actress would be a part of the sequel too. However, reports are rife that the actress has apparently rejected the offer to perform in the second instalment of the Allu Arjun starrer.
Samantha’s team recently came forward to lend a clarification on the rumours. It is all a random rumour, they told Pinkvilla. The report doing the rounds claimed that ‘Pushpa 2’ director Sukumar approached Samantha for yet another special number for the franchise but she apparently rejected the offer for she is not ready to do special numbers right now.
The report also added that the filmmaker is trying hard to convince her and even created a small character for Samantha and connected it to the storyline. However, the actress has turned down the offer.
Back in 2021, when Pushpa had released, reports were rife that Samantha charged a whopping Rs 5 crores for the special track and it was Allu Arjun who convinced her to do the song.
On the work front, Samantha is gearing up for ‘Citadel’ co-starring Varun Dhawan in the lead role. \r\n
