As SpaceX continues to test and prep Starship in Boca Chica, Texas, its CEO took to Twitter to confirm a potential orbital launch.

In reply to a question on Twitter, Musk noted:

\n

If the remaining tests go well, we will attempt a Starship launch next month.

\n

As Drive Tesla reported in January, SpaceX completed a full wet dress rehearsal at Starbase. The rehearsal saw the fully stacked Starship filled with ten million pounds of propellent and multiple ground tests run.

\n

Although we do not know the exact date for the launch, we do know the proposed flight plan via a filing with the Federal Communication Commission.

\n

The rocket will launch from Starbase in Texas, with the Super Heavy boosters landing at sea. Starship will continue through the Straits of Florida and head west before softly landing in the Pacific Ocean northwest of Kauai. In total, the flight should last around ninety minutes.

\n

There is still some work and testing, including a full fire of all the engines. However, it does appear that we will see the first orbital launch of Starship next month.
