YouTuber Reveals A Magical Fusion of Two Iconic Nintendo Consoles To Create An Ultimate Game Boy!

Custom consoles have always been a big part of the gaming community because they allow users to show off their love for their favorite systems. A lot of classic consoles are frequently given a personalized makeover like a Nintendo fan recently creating an incredible customized console.

Nintendo is a famous brand in the console business, having made some of the most memorable gaming devices in history. However, this Japanese behemoth is most recognized for its handheld, portable systems.

They’ve built a variety of devices, including the current hybrid Switch console as well. But their most successful portable consoles to-date are definitely the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance. Inspired by these two, one fan recently decided to pay his tribute to both these classic handheld products.

The Game Boy Advance meets Nintendo DS!

The YouTuber, Gameboy Custom, is well-known for creating amazing consoles, especially the GBA ones. Few days ago, he released a video where he decided to fuse a Nintendo DS with a Game Boy Advance SP. It was a rare crossover to witness as the DS was the successor to the classic GBA.

The YouTuber used two Game Boy Advance models and a Nintendo DS to form the main body for his custom creation. After getting the body for the custom handheld ready, he fitted new screens inside it. Now, all he needed to do was fit a PCB in there. But it was the trickiest part of this entire built.

He first separated the Cartridge slot from the DS circuit board. Later, the YouTuber used several wires to increase the reach of the PCB to suit the customized body. He then connected all the parts to the main DS circuit board and closed the back.

He then used a DS R4 flash Cartridge to install the ACE3DS+ firmware. This new firmware enables the user to not only play DS and Game Boy Advance titles, but also other hits like Super Nintendo, Atari, and Commodore 64. Simply put, it can be called an “Ultimate Game Boy console.”
