The country’s largest EV car manufacturer, Tata Motors’ EV arm, has finally unveiled the newest iteration of one of its most popular models, Nexon EV, in India. The company took the covers off it yesterday, and today the company has launched a brand-new television commercial (TVC) as well. The new TVC highlights the innovative features that Tata Motors has added to its already popular sub-compact EV SUV. The company will be opening reservations for this model on the 9th of September, and the price reveal will take place on the 14th of September.

The newest TVC for the 2023 Tata Nexon EV has been shared on YouTube by TATAev on their official channel. It starts with a white Tata Nexon EV facelift getting charged at home. The video then shows the new massive full-width LED DRL turning on in a fun sequence where the middle portion lights up first and then expands to the ends. The same lighting pattern also takes place in the rear. The video then focuses on the front of the EV SUV, showing its differently designed front end. The Nexon EV facelift, unlike the Nexon facelift, does not get a black element on the front grille; instead, it gets a body-colored top front portion. The lower grille also features differently designed slats.

Following this scene, a businesswoman is shown entering the all-new interior of the Nexon EV facelift. The video displays the newly designed, minimalistic, and clean dashboard. The highlight of this new dashboard is the all-new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen and system, which is even bigger than the Nexon facelift’s 10.25-inch display. It then shows the wireless charger located in the center console, as well as the push-to-start button. The video then reveals the paddle shifters of the new car and mentions that its LR (Long Range) variant offers a 465 km range. It also adds that the new Nexon EV facelift can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 8.9 seconds.

Next, the video highlights two of the most important features added to the Nexon EV facelift. It shows one Nexon EV facelift charging another Nexon EV with its new Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging capabilities. In this clip, the video then shows the car’s charging port powering a charger for a drone, which a family uses during their picnic. After this, another Nexon EV facelift is shown stuck in traffic with a man and his pregnant wife. The video then demonstrates the car’s 360-degree camera and highlights the SOS button on top, which can call emergency services during emergencies. It also mentions that the car comes with 6 airbags as standard.

After showcasing these features, the video shows a couple of kids sitting in the rear seat of the Nexon EV facelift and enjoying the new massive 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The video mentions that it comes equipped with the new Arcade EV suite, offering OTT streaming platforms such as Disney+Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube. Lastly, the video displays the new Nexon EV badging on the rear bootlid of the car.

Tata Motors has launched the new Nexon EV facelift with two battery options. The first is the MR (Medium Range), and the second is the LR (Long Range). The MR variant comes equipped with a 30 kWh battery and a range of 325 km. Meanwhile, the LR variant comes equipped with a 40.5 kWh battery with a range of 465 km.
