    Drishyam 2 box office collection Day 12: Ajay Devgn’s film outperforms Bhediya in theatres

    By Janani K: Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Tabu’s Drishyam 2 is having a glorious run at the theatres. The film surpassed Rs 150-crore mark in India and is still performing exceptionally well in the theatres. Trade reports suggest that Drishyam 2 has been outperforming Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya at the box office during the weekdays.

    DRISHYAM 2 OUTPERFORMS BHEDIYA AT THE THEATRES

    Drishyam 2, as reported earlier, is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film of the same name. The Hindi version hit the theatres on November 18.

    Ever since Drishyam 2 hit the theatres, the film has been performing well at the box office. Due to positive word of mouth, audiences are thronging to the theatres to watch the film. At the end of 12 days, Drishyam 2 surpassed Rs 150 crore at the domestic box office.

    On Tuesday (November 29), Drishyam 2 managed to outperform Bhediya yet again by collecting Rs 4.85 crore at the box office in India. Bhediya, on the other hand, is estimated to have earned Rs 3.50 crore.

    Drishyam is an emotional thriller that deals with the story of a cable operator, Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay), whose life revolves around cinema and his family; wife Nandini (Shriya Saran) and daughters Anju and Anu. Tabu plays the role of IG Meera Deshmukh in the film. In Drishyam, Ajay played Vijay Salgaonkar, who protects his family at all costs after his daughter accidentally kills a boy.

    After disposing of the boy’s body, Vijay removes all traces of proof and then takes a family trip to Panaji. They visit an Ashram, watch a film, and eat at a restaurant, creating their alibis. Drishyam is the Hindi remake of hit Malayalam flick of the same name, which was helmed by National-Award-winning director Nishikant Kamat. Drishyam 2, directed by Abhishek Pathak, follows the story after that.
