CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida small business owners and residents affected by Hurricane Ian can apply for federal disaster loans until Jan. 12.

\n\n\n\n

The U.S. Small Business Administration has extended the deadline to give Floridians more time to apply.

\n\n\n\n

Businesses that had physical damages from Sept. 23 through Nov. 4 due to Hurricane Ian are encouraged to apply.

\n\n\n\n

To be considered for assistance applicants must register online at DisasterAssistance.gov or download the FEMA mobile app. If online or mobile access is unavailable, applicants should call the FEMA toll-free helpline at 800-621-3362.
