20 Mbps For Rs. 300: Telangana Govt’s Internet Revolution!

The government of Telangana is set to bring a digital revolution to the state. T-Fiber, an internet service provider backed by the state government, will launch its services on December 8.

In the first phase, the broadband service will be launched in 2096 gram panchayats in Narayanpet, Sangareddy and Peddapalli districts. The services will expand to other parts of the state in a phased manner. CM Revanth Reddy will officially launch these internet services tomorrow.

The central government launched the initiative, “Bharat Net”, to provide broadband services to all villages in the country. As a part of this initiative, Rs. 2500 crores have been allocated to the state government to provide a fibre connection to all villages.

The government decided to give the internet connection at a nominal price of Rs. 300 per month with a speed of 20 Mbps. Telephone connection and a few OTT services will be provided for free with an internet connection.

T-Fiber connections will be provided to all schools, gram panchayat offices, and other government institutions in villages across the state. CCTV cameras will be installed at key junctions within the villages and integrated with the Police Command Control Centre via this fibre network.
