The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Sessions commenced today, with state Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presenting the budget for the remaining financial year of 2024-25.
A total budget of Rs. 2,94,427.25 crores has been allocated for this financial year. Keshav stated that the revenue expenditure is set at Rs. 2,35,916.99 crores, and capital expenditure at Rs. 32,712.84 crores. The revenue deficit is reported as Rs. 34,743.38 crores, while the fiscal deficit stands at Rs. 68,742.65 crores.

Payyavula Kehsav affirmed the government’s commitment to fulfilling the six key election promises. As part of these commitments, funds will be specifically allocated to the “Thalliki Vandanam” scheme.
