After the alliance government came to power in AP, various IT companies are showing interest in establishing their offices in Vizag.
Organisations like Google and other leading names are keen on setting up offices in the coastal city. During their visit to Davos, CM Chandrababu Naidu and IT minister Lokesh have inked deals for setting up data centre, global business centre, AI development centre, chip manufacturing unit, global capability centre (GCC) among others in the city.

It is quite obvious that all this needs good infrastructure. So, preparations are on to ready the Iconic Towers that belong to Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA). The CM will be inaugurating the complex in February first week.
A ship-shaped building is being developed right in the heart of the city. From the total 11 floors, 5 floors will be used for vehicle parking and the other 6 floors with 1.65 lakh sq ft will be used for official purposes.

The building will be a state-of-the-art structure that will provide ample ventilation and parking. The visual aesthetics of the building are also being looked into.
The idea is to let out the space to GCCs and MNCs as huge spaces have been readied for global capability center and data incubation centers.

The state government is now looking for a big name to take occupancy as it would establish the brand name of Vizag city. Now that the CM is back from Davos, he is likely to make a major decision.
