2. Paik’s Spirit

In quarantine, Jungkook shared an Instagram story captioned, “drinking alone.” The video clip in it was from Netflix‘s Paik’s Spirit, a show featuring celebrity guests, delicious food, and drinks.

Hosted by Chef Baek Jong Won, who once guested on Run BTS!, this show is the equivalent of comfort food. It’s the perfect show to watch while relaxing at home.

3. Spirited Away

As a child, Jungkook dreamed of becoming Haku, the shape-shifting dragon from the anime fantasy film Spirited Away.

5. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Jungkook and have both recommended this modern classic about a high school girl who stumbles upon a mysterious object that allows her to leap back in time over and over again.

6. Parasyte

Jungkook and Jin have both recommended Parasyte, but unlike the other animes on this list, Parasyte is not for the faint of heart! This horror anime follows 17-year-old Shinichi Izumi, who is living a quiet life until aliens decide to stop by and sneak up humanity’s nose holes. Shinichi doesn’t get brain-snatched, but an alien does burrow into his arm (yuck), giving him the power to fight back against the alien invaders without losing control of his mind.

We’re sure he would love the K-Drama adaptation too!

If you’re the type to ball your eyes out over beautiful friendship stories, you might want to skip this one…or not? Anohana follows a group of friends who drift apart after their friend Meiko “Menma” Honma dies. Five years later, they unite when Menma’s ghost suddenly shows up. Only one Menma’s friends, Jinta Yadomi, can see her.

At one point, the teens are unable to see each other, despite standing face to face, but when a bell chimes, they are able to sense each other’s presence.

While on the show, Jungkook referenced that moment.

Q: The method to marry Jungkook?

A: When you cross his mind, a bell must ring.
